You may have noticed that we've been offline for a while; well we're glad to say that today we've launched our new project website with masses of new features.
Read more...The cost to the project to provide our sail training voyages is £550 per person for 6 day's; however we recognise that this price may preclude some young people from taking part.
We are able to offer a reduction of £200 to our sail training voyages, making all of our Focus Point voyages £350 per trainee. All of our voyages include all meals, provision of safety equipment and waterproofs. Trainees need only to bring themselves, sensible clothing and toiletries.
There may be a variety of ways in which a trainee could help to raise the money for their trip. Some people take part in sponsored activities. Others manage to arrange for a local company to make a donation, or apply for funding from a local grant-giving body such as a Rotary Club.
A limited number of bursaries are available in addition to the above.
I order to be eligible for a bursary a young person must meet at least one or more of the points below.
We do not offer bursary funding to cover the full cost of a voyage. Applicants will need to demonstrate that they have personally made the effort to raise at least part of the voyage price through hard work or imagination.
If you think you might have a trainee eligible for bursary funding, please contact the office.
